untitled me...
couldnt figure an appropriate title for today's entry. having a migraine though had popped panadol moments ago. probably being preoccupied today. either physically or mentally.1st thing in the morning - 10am- was to watch doreamon on channel8. it has been 6saturdays that i didnt get to watch, due to working with monkeys at parkway. i love being home slacking on a saturday, just for that half hour doreamon.
supposedly to attend a free public talk @2pm organised by a hospice in ci yuan hougang cc. it's abt "morphine and cancer patients". i'm so eager to go. i have lotsa doubts of that bottle of morphine which i bring to mum. i had even planned my driving route and time. yet, i couldnt turn up.
mum was too frustrated with her swollen feet; water-retention. it has been almost a week. i massaged. i applied ointment. i observed. i held her arms whenever she walks. finally, mum asked me to bring her to family clinic. and, that's why i had to miss the talk.
as i've rented a wheelchair. costing $45 per mth. i pushed her to rivervale mall. i was fear of tripping mum while wheeling her. bcoz it's damn heavy. the wheelchair is abt 15kg and mum's abt 65kg. totalling 80kg, that's wat i'm pushing.
it may sound easy to push the wheels. NOT AT ALL! only on flat grounds. what abt those kerbs and slopes?
many negative thanks to the mgt - capitalRetail - of rivervale mall for setting up a taxi stand. DUMB! before the taxi stand, there used to have a slope which allowed baby prams, marketing trolleys, wheelchairs and any other wheels could travel up to the mall easily. it was well-utilised.
now, it has surrendered to the taxi stand. the only slope is paved at the taxi stand queue. where allowed commuters to unload/load only. the mgt had forgotten their travelling-on-foot shoppers' convenience.
US. these wheely shoppers would have to struggle up/down a 10-15cm high kerb, using extra strength. unless to be cautious; making sure no incoming taxi or blocked slope, so as to utilise the approximate half metre wide slope.
also, had to push up a steep slope(the driveway for taxi) before able to use that little slope.
overall, it's such a strenuous exercise for me. a great workout that i dont hav to worry losing my calories. :) think i must review this matter to the mgt soon.
mentally... as usual, realising mum's condition getting worse.
er-ge mentioned that her eyesight is bad. she asked him to switch on the lights in the hall. she said that it's too dark. it was afternn when er-ge feels it's quite bright.
as for me, her memory is deterioting. she couldnt remember what i've said to her 5min ago.
for instance, these days she was irritated by her sore gum. i've been explaining very clearly(and patiently) that we need to consult the oncologist on whether her condition allows her for extracting her upper molar. the next appt is on 20mar. yet, she asked me the same question 5min later. or else, every other day.
is she testing my patience? i might think so if i was still the old me. so what shall i do? explain to her again loh. thinking that she gave me a chance to speak. i should cherish our togetherness as much as possible now. who knows what will happen next? i might not get to speak to her when she left...
me feeling depressed again. let's move on to sth light.
these days has been hot. fans switched to full blast. usually, electric fans has 4buttons; 0, 1, 2, and 3. 0 = off. 1, 2, 3 = small, medium and full. check yours now to make sure that i'm making sense.
often, i switched to button3. mum complained that it's not enough. asking to turn up for cooler air. EH? but i'm already at 3. how the hell to turn up further unless i've got super powers to spin the fins? well, she insisted to turn to button4 bcoz there are 4buttons mah. so, there sure to have power4 loh.
WUAHAHAhah....she said that i am incompetent. not obeying her. she knows the fan better.
what say you?
these days i hav the instinct to shop. especially jus bought a bolero. but no kakis ley...
