innocent me...
wondered if i've done right...last sunday, mum asked me abt her condition. as i know ta dad has already told her abt the C-word, i retold her condition calmly. she was sad definitely. disappointed too when she probed if i've known it during her stay in hospital. bcoz i've been hiding from her since then. puzzled me was tat she looked as if this is the 1st time she knows abt the cancer. OOPs! or could she have forgotten abt it.
for example, today. i discovered her memory is deteriorating. last nite, she finished eating cherries in her room. walked out to throw the seeds with the box. jus this morning, she ranted at me for finishing all her cherries! i explained to her calmly(again). she never listen. insisted i finished everything and not being considerate.
i explained to her the scenes...
1. she walked outta bedroom towards kitchen to throw the empty box and seeds, while i was at the desk.
2. she walked back to bedroom. THUG!
3. bro and i rushed in. found her on the floor. she had a fall.
4. she explained ta she cant see in the dark.
5. i walked over to switch on the bedroom toilet light and left it on till the morning.
still, she cant remember a thing. again, insisting me for eating her cherries. actually, that box of cherries is mine. she finished her already. as she been complaining her dry throat and doesnt wanna drink water, i gave up my last bunch of cherries to her.
finally, i surrendered. i shopped at the supermarket for another two boxes of cherries. was frustrated with the price rise.
2wks ago, it costs $9.90 per box. i bought only a box bcoz considered expensive. following week, a dollar cheaper. happily bought 2boxes. probably there's no demand, so they had a promotion. and this week, it's back with $9.90! could it be jus me the only one buying the extra box ta in fact increase the price? if so, sickening economy!
back home, she's back with the "you ate all my cherries and threw the box!" story.
OMG! i assured her to stop that story as i've bought another box of cherries for apologies!
bought a pair of shimmering sandles @ten bucks. great catch! the shop at rivervale mall, which i hardly step in to shop unless mum wants. would frequent there more then.
something irrelevant to topic. jus viewed chris's gf friendster.
remembering those days when i am with this telecommunication company as an HR intern. his position as a QA programmer. he is the hunk in the whole company, my supervisor told me so. i wasnt taking notice of him at all. till a company retreat to ubin. i was in his group for a game of treasure hunt. then, i eyed on him when he was actually eyeing me already. giggling... since then, he would ask me out for movies and dinner on weekends.
and, one day. i told him abt my feelings. yet, he didnt make anymore move. he must be startled by my boldness. and we quieten. we werent as jovial and making fun at each other again. it was soo embarrassing bcoz all our wacky colleagues knew abt how close we were...
...well well well... i admit feeling soury seeing their loving pictures. but happy to see his blissful face. best wishes to ya. :)
let bygones be bygones... happily for once before, never linger on it. search for a better tomorrow.
