interview me...

another round of interview today. it's lorna whiston study centre @united square. the qualifications needed for this customer relations representative position is understated for me. they need minimum o'level/ITE cert. i've 2diploma, that's too much for this position. but, i wanna a job at the moment that i could juggle between my BA studies in july as well as for a job that provide some $, with minimum responsibility. so that i wont go headless like a chicken when the assessment are near.

that was my 1st step into united sq. the whole of 3rd level was educational centres for children. i was early and was panic when stepped into the centre. the receptionist passed me an application form to fill up. "didnt i email my cv already?" i tot. "well, probably they wanna assess my handwriting. hah!"

hey, jaz! this is something that i 4got to tell u after i've done with the interrogation. aunties are fighting the position with me!

then, came an auntie in really auntie wear; white top, 3/4flowers embroidery pants and a pair of sandels that an authentic auntie has! i tot she was here to register her child for the courses here. but not! she's here for interview too. oh my gosh! hope that she's not fighting that position with me. at least i'm dressed far better than her lohz, so i've already scored a plus point for this interview as a customer relations rep...

out of a room at the end of the passage, stepped out another auntie. she finished her interview there! SO, i am not the earliest scheduled for interview today argh? chey~...

"sharon, you may come in now." receptionist ushered another auntie into the room. this auntie was sitting on my right when i was filling the application form... well, nvm... i'm steady pom pi pi one! i'm not afraid of aunties! if i cant get this position, just move on. last sat recruit papers are waiting for me to flip thru.

later in the room, "could u show me ur certs?" said one.

"oh my... luckily i came prepared in this expensive and high grade quality file that cost me $9.80!"

so, i showed them politely the cover letter on the 1st page and their heads nodding and keep saying "lovely. great." when flipping thru the rest of the pages. they were kinda surprised abt my diploma. also, they were mesmerised with my words when i shared my employment experience. "we are impressed. you are so arty!" said one.

Wahaha ~.... me giggling away in heart~... they send my soul flying up to the ceiling~...

my mouth was shivering, not bcoz of the coldness from the air-con, it's that i cant get the appropriate vocabulary to tell more. yesh, tongue-tied! therefore, my reaction was kinda slow to speak...

remembered when they mentioned that customer relations position is kinda irrelevant to my areas of study, and i actually agreed with them! i shouldnt have say that.

CORRECTION: to me, customer relations is sth that i cant jus learn from classes or books. they are theory or case-study. it will be different and/or more difficult to handle in real life situations. therefore, it's should be learnt from experience. also, CR is important in all aspects of work/biz, esp in the arts. it's the FEEL. the impression that u portrays and leave on ur clients, who would come back for more.

wah.. i sound very chim hor? but i missed out this paragraph lei. dunno if they would still consider me for this post anot lei... hope they will give me an answer in a couple of days, as what they said...

lastly, should say thanks to jasmine. bcoz she's the one who help me to arrange the order of my portfolio and suggested to refurnish my cover letter. finally, someone wanna read and was impressed! i will treat u with sinful choco cakes @secret garden when i've got my 1st pay arh! :)
