to cherish every moment... not me this time, but her...
hasnt been blogging for donkey days. i was busy, tired, happy and sad, sadder and crying, lonely and down.busy when i started my internship with singapore repertory theatre (SRT). they having 2musicals at the esplanade so they need ppl to help out with mktg. i was still with the speech and drama (S&D) which contract ends on the 20nov. so, i agreed to start working on my free days which free from teaching. i ended up working everyday.
however, this lasted 2weeks. bad thing happened in my family.
everything starts from a common cough in my mum. she's stubborn, as usual. she is admitted to hospital on my 2nd day of work at SRT.
days b4 her admittance, she went to family doc for the 2nd consultation bcoz her cough hasnt recovered and we are pressing her for 2nd round. doc said she need an x-ray and must to bring it back for follow-up. it was fluid accumulated in her lungs. and, she need to admit in hospital to extract it. i tot it wasnt that serious and by extracting it, everything would be fine.
ttsh doc reviewed to me that those fluid are actually passed out from a tumor in her lungs. and it is cancerous. i wasnt paying much attention bcoz i was at srt at that time when the doc called. i wasnt knowledgeable abt a tumor is cancer.
till, i met up with the doc who reviewed my mum's condition. it's lung cancer. 3rd stage and final. chemotherapy could last her for another half to a yr. i broke down and cried uglily. this shouldnt be happen to her. i couldnt believe my ears.
immediately, i called my lecturer to stop my internship and discussed that i hav to defer my sem2 studies. i became weak and restless. i couldnt focus anymore. she's all in my mind. NOW.
my family hasnt told her abt her condition. she doesnt know how serious it is. and, i dunno when we are to tell her. dunno if she could manage. dunno if she would go for chemo.
