retreat me...
had a staff retreat for my centre this aftn. it's a buffet lunch @novena sq.'s magic wok. it's a halal restn. they served thai food.the buffet is not the one that we usually would see. as in, u hav to get up from ur seat, walk to the long table full of food, choose and pick the amount of food u want and place into ur plates. it is more of the lazy style, which i would say.
you came into the restn. confirmed the waiter with the number of ppl. you read and choose the dishes you want from a A5 sized paper which has no picture and had to imagine the dish that u ordered.
at least, it is cheap. $15.80 nett per pax. no GST. no service charge. free flow of drinks. free flow of 3 kinds of dessert with addition of $2.
as for the taste, passable and edible. their sharkfin soup is diluted. tom-yam soup is salty when cooled. i like the fried kway-tiao, oatmeal prawns, lemon chicken, red-ruby dessert and mango-egg pudding.
also, principal (yvonne) decided to hav a pagaent. there's many titles arranged on the table such as miss learning vision (the company name), miss creative, miss super-productive, miss smiley, miss funnybone, miss teacher with style and i forgot the other 2titles.
we hav to draw lots from the pool of teachers' name. match a title to the teacher and explain why choosing this title for the respective teacher.
well, i've got miss teacher with style. :D the presenter said my spectacles frames set the quirky style. for ur info, my frames are rectangular and black which i always view it as television screens. also, my tattoos set for this title too. :x
after that, some teachers proceed for 2nd round of fun - to marina bay for bowling. actually, i wanted to as to hav fun and to build our interpersonal relations. however, i was driving and kept thinking that i dont wanna further waste the petrol. wuahaha... wat's wrong with me?
anyway, i head home. fell onto my bed and Zzz...
