cured me...
last saturday, the pain finally attacked me badly.that day was parent-teacher meeting session in reviewing of their children's progress in this 2nd semester.
i've 10 parents to talk to, out of 12 children. so, it should be easier task as i've gone through a round in june this yr. i've much confidence this time.
the day started @8am and ended @12nn. i sat on the low chair all the time. although i did get up to call some parents when i done with one. there were pain attacks but i took it lightly.
until i'm done with all 10 parents... i stood up from the chair... i cant stretch my back straight. the pain triggered and attacked from lower back to the ankle.
i cant walk properly. not even stand nor sit. i need to hold onto the cupboards to walk.
this is the worst attack.
no choice. called er-ge to fetch me home.
that nite, er-ge drove me round for tui-na but had closed.
following day, father drove me to another one. well, he did some good as i could walk without support. but, the pain triggered again when i reached home and i'm paralysed again.
told yvonne (my principal-cum-boss) who then gave me dr yeo's contact.
on tues morn, i met dr yeo at mount e. he referred me to do MRI scan of my back at lucky plaza, which i laid 20min in that noisy "tunnel" scanner. back to yeo in evening with the scan results, and yeo scheduled a surgery that minute. so, da-ge alighted me at paragon where i walked slowly to the surgery clinic for registration.
nervous. panic.
especially those injections, anaesthesia... eeeee... goosebumps!
undressed every piece on me and changing to the robe, i laid on the bed. scary~...
then, i was pushed to the operating theatre by dr yeo's assistants. they tried to inject anaesthesia in me but i freaked out with long streams of tears. they gave up and waited dr yeo to perform on me.
with dr yeo's jovial and chatty personality, he jabbed that thingy on my left hand. urgh!...
yeo: "ok, done! u can now sing a song."
me: "huh... my mind is blank."
yeo: "nvm. anything."
me: "uhmmm..."
yeo: "now, i want u to move over to that bed with ur face down."
me: "huh? how can? i'm in pain. difficult for me to lie with face down."
yeo: "so many ppl here can carry u. dont worry.
once moved, face down. i still holding onto the piece of green gauze that i used to wipe my tears..................ZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.....
tap tap tap....
someone tapped my right shoulders. my eyes opened. looking at the ceiling.
yeo: "wake up now. it's done. u are a brave girl. i saw ur tattoos."
me: "huh? what happened? am i dreaming?"
no, i'm not. everything is done within 2hrs. da-ge came to fetch me home aft that.
from now on, i am refrain from carrying children if i still want to stay in this job. and promise to take extra care of this. not to sit/stand/walk at the same position for too long. no more rollerblading but swimming helps!
conclusion...
yeo's 1st consultation : $160
MRI scan : $722.25
yeo's 2nd consultation : $51.10
surgery : $1742.29
total : $2675.64
