sliding me...

had our convocation @the RITZ CARLTON this morning. feeling nervous as it's the 1st time that lasalle had their convo at a hotel. and it's a 6-star one. usually, they had it at the singapore expo. so, lucky me!

ridiculous was that i've got up at 5.30am! bcoz we hav to report @8am sharp. so, dont wanna miss or disgrace myself for being late, had to pull myself off the bed.

had my dad and brother to ask for leave to attend this. supposedly, everyone is assigned with only 2tix. from the last grad experience in tp, i asked frens who didnt ask for tix; took their rights and asked for an extra one for my bro. and many thx to mackie.

before getting on stage, my mates and i were so nervous that we wont wanna trip on the stage. bcoz we are the 1st class to walk up, and i'm the 7th! panicky!!!

well, our prayers were not heard! i was watching mates b4 me slipping while walking to the centre! OMG!! hope i'm okie!

i was sliding too! i could hear ppl in my back with "woos" and "ahhs"... shame shame... embarrassing!!!

funny was.... professor ely, the man of the centre stage and shook everyone's hands, put on a fake smile and "look into the camera" came thru his teeth. thx alot for the console!!!

how incompetence the 6-star hotel staff was! there were 3-4 staff standing by the stage. they should have seen the embarrassment of us slipping due to their perfectly wax-polished parquet! yet, no one came to our rescue initiatively! till, venka, our dean of integrated studies, actually walked up from his seat and approached them TO DO STH!!!

it's still late! 2gals fell to their butts right in front of professors and minister george yeo! they nearly cried when their faces shot on the big screen! POOR you...

after that, time for food and pix taking. didnt had much food bcoz too many hungry fast-snatcher around. my make-up was tooo off white too. making me like a geisha when flashes fall on me. :(
